The Best Sussex suppliers: Isaac’s picks
Each of our dishes is developed around the best quality local ingredients from our Sussex suppliers. It’s all about what you start with! Here Isaac shares some of his suppliers if you’re looking for the best produce to cook with at home, too.
Westdene Butchers, Brighton.
“Trevor and the team at Westdene are reliable, great to work with and always let us know about new cuts of their high-quality meat as soon as it comes in. They’re very knowledgeable and often share tips on how to cook specific cuts.”
Fin & Farm, Hove
“In 2017 we started using Fin & Farm in Hove, who work with farms and producers in Brighton, Hove and Sussex to source the best quality ingredients and deliver them in immaculate condition. We really want to try and work as direct with producers and suppliers as we can in 2018, so we can be transparent with our mileage and know we’re getting the best produce to work with.”
Trenchmore Farm, Cowfold
“We discovered Trenchmore through an event we did for Brighton & Hove Food & Drink Festival in October and we love what they are all about. Joanne has a huge passion for her produce, as we do for the dishes we create. They have amazing quality beef and grains, as well as apples used for their Silly Moo cider.”
Downsview Dairy, Ringmer
“We get all our milk and cream from Downsview Dairy. You can’t get fresher in Sussex as they milk everything to order. If you pay them a visit, make sure you try their ice cream too!”
Ridgeview Estate, Ditchling
“We’ve worked with Ridgeview since the beginning and they are one of the leading wine producers in England. You can see it’s still a family run business when you visit the vineyard for a tour, which I would recommend. It’s our most popular sparkling at Isaac At!”
Our first service of 2018 will be on Tuesday 16th January! Book to join us and find out what’s on our New Year South Coast Tasting Menu.
