Christmas time, mistletoe and (British) wine…

Christmas has officially begun at Isaac At, as our festive menu is now in full swing after launching last week. We’ve also given ourselves and early Christmas present, as our new EvoGro has landed.

We’re passionate about supporting Sussex and we love shouting about the high quality produce that we’reevogro lucky enough to have on our doorstep. But sometimes it can be more of a challenge to find good quality plant based ingredients. By adding the EvoGro to the Isaac At family, we’re able to grow our own great quality cress, salads and herbs. Isaac says, “It’s great to be able to take control of some of the most important elements that often transform a dish. The EvoGro means we can grow all our own garnishes and even experiment with baby veg. You can’t get more local than growing the ingredients at the restaurant! We used the first of our own grown cress on the new Christmas starter last night and the flavours are incredible.”

On that note, here’s our full festive menu for December:


Blue Cheese Mousse, Pickled Walnuts, Pea shoots, Cress and Rapeseed oil

Pan seared scallops, cured Pork Belly, Pickled January King, Compressed Kohlrabi, Chestnut Puree and Parsley Oil

Crispy Lamb Belly, Parsley Pure Root & Wilted Coriander

Venison Haunch, Beetroot Ketchup & Salad Shoots

Mulled Cider Sorbet

Butter Apple Puree (caramalised and pickled apple) with Cardamom Ice Cream and Oat Clusters

If you’re joining us in December, Alex recommends giving the Davenport White a try alongside the Scallop dish, going for the Plumpton Cloudy Ridge Red with the Lamb and try our Bolney Lychgate Red with the Venison main. Don’t forget to ask Alex about the Sussex Alcoholic Pairing (£29) and Sussex Juice Pairing (£20), available when you join us for lunch or dinner.
